People Watching

Note to self: having people walking towards the camera makes for a better photo, I think. I can see their faces, which is the most interesting part.

Is there someone out there somewhere who is missing you?

The horizontal position for the subject is fine, but I missed the vertical. The space should be in front of the subject, not behind. I’ll get it next time.

Monday Morning and Seneca

“Anger: an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured” – Seneca

Monday morning blues. And architecture. Monday morning blue architecture at the AGO.

A view of the staircase within the AGO – once I converted this photo to black and white it created the Taoist yin and yang symbol, which was completely accidental (Heh, sometimes it’s better to be lucky than to be good).

Two halves which come together to create a complete whole – I suspect that this is a journey and not a destination for most of us.

One Bloor East and Light Trails

“Wisdom does not show itself so much in precept as in life – in firmness of mind and a mastery of appetite. It teaches us to do as well as to talk; and to make our words and actions all of colour.” Seneca

I might have taken this one a little too far, it looks like a comic book panel. But, I like it. I’m making progress…..I’m almost ready to upgrade the camera equipment.

My horoscope yesterday:

“A positive attitude is essential today, because if you let negative thoughts enter your mind it could stop you taking advantage of opportunities that are designed by the universe to make you materially and emotionally richer. It’s all good, so be happy.”

I find astrology moderately entertaining and curiously accurate, and cynically I always check yesterday’s installment to see if it was an accurate reading, and this one was very relevant to something that I struggle with on an ongoing basis.

I do wrestle with depression and have a (bad) habit of lending too much weight to the empty portion of the glass, so this is sage advice. And it also fits the above picture which I took quite well.

Now, to put that into practice……..
